1. data protection
We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
We collect as little personal data as possible. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done on a voluntary basis as far as possible. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, unless we are obliged to do so by law or on the basis of a court decision.

2. processing and use of personal data
Personal data collected via our web pages are only used without your consent for the processing of your requests and the execution of the contract (contact form). Your data will also only be used for personalised advertising if you have given your consent (newsletter).
As soon as the purpose of collecting, processing and using personal data is no longer applicable, we will immediately delete the data, unless there are legitimate reasons in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, such as legal retention obligations. In this case, deletion is replaced by blocking the data.
We would like to point out that the transmission of data over the Internet (e.g. by e-mail) can have security gaps. It is not possible to protect data against access by third parties without fail.
The operator of the website is responsible for the input of data on this website.
You will find all contact details in the legal notice and at the end of this document.

3. obtaining and handling your consent
By using our services and submitting personal data to this website, you agree to this privacy statement. The data protection declaration does not constitute a contract. Distillerie Studer & Co AG will ask you for additional consents if required by law.

4. cookies
Cookies are used to make our offer more user-friendly, more efficient and safer. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and saved by your browser.
This website does not use cookies that identify the user and are not technically necessary. Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your terminal until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser the next time you visit us (online shop).
You can set your browser to notify you when cookies are set, to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, to exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

5. server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and saves information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • The referring URL
  • Host name of the computer accessing the site
  • The time of the server request

These data cannot be attributed to specific individuals. These data are not cross-checked with other data sources.

6. AWStats
In order to statistically evaluate our website, we use the AWStats program. This program is a free web analysis software. It is used to evaluate log files that web servers create on the basis of visitor requests. The program does not use cookies for analysis. The statistical analysis is carried out on the basis of log files which contain pseudonymised IP addresses. These data cannot be attributed to specific persons. A combination of this data with other data sources is not carried out.

Unlike other statistics programs, AWStats does not transmit data to a third party server.

7. online store / WooCommerce
For our online shop, we use WooCommerce.
In order to facilitate the purchase and booking process and for the subsequent execution of the contract, we store the cookies and IP addresses of the connection holder, as well as the name, address, e-mail address – and, in the case of online payment, the PayPal data or bank details of the buyer.
There is a mutual legitimate interest between the seller (Studer & Co. AG) and the buyer in the exchange of this data for the execution of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, no contract can be concluded. No data is passed on to third parties – with the exception of the passing on of credit card data to the banks/payment providers responsible for the transaction for the purpose of debiting the purchase price, to the transport company commissioned by us to deliver the ordered goods. If the purchase process is discontinued, the data stored with us will be deleted. If a contract is concluded, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored in accordance with the retention period stipulated by tax law. Data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 Paragraph 3 TKG and Article 6 Paragraph 1 letter a (consent) and/or letter b (necessary for the execution of the contract) of the GDPR.

8. contact forms
If you send us enquiries via the contact form, the data you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact data you entered in the form, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and for follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

9 newsletter data / MailChimp
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the site, we require an e-mail address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter.
This site uses the services of MailChimp to send newsletters. The provider is Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
MailChimp is a service which, among other things, enables the organisation and analysis of the sending of newsletters. If you enter data for the purpose of receiving the newsletter (e.g. e-mail address), this data is stored on MailChimp’s servers in the USA.
MailChimp is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield. The “Privacy Shield” is an agreement between the European Union (EU) and the United States which aims to ensure that European data protection standards are met in the United States.
When you open an e-mail sent by MailChimp, a file contained in the e-mail (called a web beacon) connects to MailChimp’s servers in the United States. This makes it possible to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and, if so, which links have been clicked on. In addition, technical information is collected (e.g. time of access, IP address, browser type and operating system). This information cannot be attributed to the recipient of the newsletter. It is only used for statistical analysis of the newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better adapt future newsletters to the interests of the recipients.
If you do not want to be analysed by MailChimp, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. To do this, we provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
The processing of data takes place on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The legality of data processing operations already carried out is not affected by the revocation.
The data that you have deposited with us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from our servers as well as from MailChimp’s servers after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored with us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members’ area) is not affected by this measure.
For further details, please consult the MailChimp privacy policy at https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/.

10. google maps
This website uses Google Maps, a mapping service provided by Google Inc (“Google”), to display maps and directions. When you use Google Maps, information about your use of this website (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf.
It is possible that Google may use the personal data collected via the Google Maps service to create personality profiles of the users of this website and process this data or the personal data of the users for other purposes, over which we do not and cannot have any influence.
You can easily deactivate the Google Maps service and thus prevent the transfer of data to Google: To do this, deactivate JavaScript in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the display of the maps or any other functions of this website.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an attractive presentation of our online offers and an easy search of our company’s website.
You can find more information about the processing of user data in the Google privacy statement: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

11. google web fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts, provided by Google, for the uniform display of fonts. When you view a page, your browser loads the necessary web fonts into your browser’s cache in order to display the text and fonts correctly.
To do this, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. Google is thus informed that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and attractive presentation of our online offerings.
You can prevent Google Web Fonts from being called up in your browser settings. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font is used by your computer.
More information about Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy statement: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

12. external links
For your information, you will also find links on our Internet pages that refer to third party pages. Studer & Co SA has no influence on the content and design of these pages of other providers. The information contained in this data protection declaration is therefore not applicable to them.

13. security
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as site operator, this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by a padlock symbol in the address line of your browser.
With SSL encryption enabled, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
We implement technical and organisational security measures to protect the data you make available to us against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorised persons. Our security measures are constantly being improved and adapted in line with technological developments.

14. right to information, deletion, blocking
You have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient and the purpose of the data processing, as well as the right to correct, block or delete this data. You can contact us at any time for this and any other questions relating to personal data.
You will find all contact details in the legal notice and at the end of this document.

15. change of this privacy policy
For legal and/or organisational reasons, changes or amendments to our data protection declaration may be necessary. Please refer to the current version of our data protection declaration in this regard.
